Why change a winning formula, even in pre-season friendlies against non-league opposition when it also gives the Blues boss Paul Sturrock another chance to work on different formations with different players and take another look at the five trailists used last night, and who knows, there might be some more against Great Wakering Rovers this evening. kick-off 19.45.

The club wrote: 'Blues will run the rule over all the trialists from last nights game at Dartford against tonight at Great Wakering Rovers'

The five newbies working for a contract are right-back Ryan Leonard, midfielders Jake Thompson and Jack Parkinson, though he might be tried in defence this evening where he may be better suited, and strikers the veteran Darren Currie and the much younger Carlos Thomas who impressed in a weekend trail at the club but will need to do more tonigt than he did against the Darts though this is a massive step up for the lad.

Hopefully though we will get a chance to see former Spurs youngster Rohan Ricketts, who has been all over Europe lately and looked short of fitness when at the training ground Saturday.
