Mohsni: Ankle injury
Bilel Mohsni; he's back, he's gone

The Shrimpers star centre-back and sometimes scoring sensation Bilel Mohsni will not take any part in the League Two clashes with Port Vale and Bradford City.

These might be meaningless end-of-season games for Southend now but for the two clubs involved points are vital at different ends of the table, so the loss of the influential French Tunisian is good news for them!

Bilel received two yellow cards, giving away a penalty for the second one, in Tuesday evening's 3-1 defeat at Accrington Stanley, that put the final nail in the Shrimpers play-off coffin, fading hopes that they were anyway.

He had just returned from two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury and is a further blow to Blues boss Paul Sturrock as he faces the end of the season with such a depleted squad.
