Mohsni: Ankle injury
Mohsni: 'I carried on playing with my broken nose on Saturday'

Who says Frenchmen aren't tough?

As reported yesterday Shrimpers star defender Bilel Mohsni will play on Tursday night at Accrington even though he picked up a broken nose in the dull fest that was Aldershot at Roots Hall last weekend.

Must be his Tunisian half!

Bilel told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I carried on playing with my broken nose on Saturday and it will be fine to do the same against Accrington. After being out for so long with my ankle I don't want to miss more matches so I will be OK to play again. I just hope I can play better than I did at the weekend because I thought my performance was poor and I need to do better."

Sadly it's not the same for young striker Harry Crawford, I mean he only picked up seven stitches to the bridge of his nose and eye lid, (with thanks from Luke Gutteridge, the bastard!), and will sit out the long trip to Lancashire.

Possible Southend United: Morris, Clohessy, Coughlan, Mohsni, Barker, Ferdinand, Grant, Woodyard, Hall, Sturrock, Corr.

Subs: Evans, Nesbitt, Comminges, Stephens, Bouzid, Soares, Asante.
