The Pilgrims match, postponed because of Boston’s involvement in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday January 8th, when the fixture had been scheduled to take place, has been moved to the first available Wednesday night after the cancelled clash, which is January 12th. The York Street game will kick-off at 7:45 p.m., and could be just as exciting as the Roots Hall encounter, when forward Tesfaye Bramble manfully conceded just a single goal in his 45 minutes between the sticks to ensure that the 2-0 lead was enough at the time of Darryl Flahavan’s dismissal.

Meanwhile, the LDV Vans Trophy southern section semi-final with the Robins, an exact replica of the 2000/1 game, will go ahead some two weeks later on Tuesday 25th January 2005 at Roots Hall. At last the club have seen sense and have decided to open up the entire ground for the match, which again kicks off at 7:45 p.m., and tickets go on sale to season ticket holders from Monday 20th December until New Years Eve. They go on general sale some three days before that final date, priced at £12 and £6 respectively.
