Ryan Hall: 'I was pleased to sign the contract and to also score a couple of goals'

The exciting Shrimpers wideboy Ryan Hall grabbed a brace against the Bantams which took his total goal tally to nine and wants to make sure the Essex boys continue to finish this season on a high which will hopefully carry on into next season and a real challenge for honours.

Ryan Hall told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I thought we played well and it was great to get a 4-0 win. We want to win the remaining four matches we have left now to make sure we finish as high up as we can in the league table and then we want to take that into next year too because promotion is our aim. I want to help take this club back into League One."

It was yet another S24 match-of-the match performance which was certainly the right way to celebrate the signing of his new contract that will keep him at Roots Hall until 2013.

Ryan continued: "I was pleased to sign the contract and to also score a couple of goals. For the first one I was just making sure I hit the target and the second was a great ball from Anthony Grant. I managed to time my run well and just get to the ball before the keeper. As soon as I struck it I knew it was in and I'm delighted with how it went."

And so were we Ryan!
