Southend have extended the loan of Hal Robson-Kanu for a further month, what happens after that we will have to see, but it's official so it must be OK!

The 19-year-old has been mainly used on the left wing during his latest stint from Reading and he will now be staying with the Shrimpers for another four weeks.

"It's good news that Hal has agreed to stay with us for longer and he certainly gives us another option," said Blues boss Steve Tilson on www.southendunited.co.uk.

"He's naturally left footed and gives us width and competition on that side of the pitch. That showed when he came on against Crewe and nearly scored with his first touch."

Which showed in a moment what we were lacking with Walker looking out of place over on the left, eventually being the man replaced by young Hal who was immediately more at home there.

Now the deal has been completed HRK will be eyeing up the starting spot on Friday.
