Alex Revell; Will be playing football again before the end of the season!

Sadly, the Roots Hall faithful will not be seeing a Wycombe strikeforce of Betsy Harrold and Revell on Saturday, as Revs will not be joining the Bucks side until they play Bristol Rovers at the end of the month!

He will remain on the Shrimpers books until the penultimate game of the season after a compromise was reached with the football league, after that, not sure! (Hopefully, during the close season, he will sign permanently for Wycombe Wanderers when a free agent.)

It seemed that the League refused to accept his registration due to a rule that prevents players representing three different clubs in the same season, and Alex had just come back from being on 'standard' loan at Swindon, not an 'emergency' one!

Southend had certainly tried to find a solution with all parties as poor Revs must have wondered what was going on.

Chairboys boss Gary Waddock told www.wycombewanderers.co.uk: "It's great news. I thought we'd signed Alex last week when he agreed terms and passed his medical and I was bitterly disappointed when the problem came to light. It was a devestating blow for the boy himself and us because we've been tracking him for a while. I'm delighted that a solution has been found and we'll have Alex for the majority of our remaining games. He's capable of scoring the goals that could make a big difference to our season."
