Sturrock: 'The board and the manager at Needham are nice people'
Not sure when we're fit it in, but Blues boss Paul Sturrock has agreed to another fixture with Ryman North side Needham Market after last Monday's 5-0 pre-season win at their Bloomfields ground Monday evening. Hope he's told the powers that be at Roots Hall!
More than likely though it would be a team probably led by Graham Coughlan with the reduced number of Combination fixtures this season.
Luggy even took time out to praise Marketmen Bradley Barber and Pip Boyland, blimey, a reserve team trial sometime in the future for both of them, or he's just a good bloke!
Sturrock told www.buryfreepress.co.uk: “He (central-defender Bradley Barber) was a very tidy player – he made the step up to play against pros. Generally, I thought they had some decent players. The right centre-half (Pip Boyland) looked small, but by hell he can jump. The people here are very nice. The board and the manager are nice people and we’ll be back to give them another game in the middle of winter.”
