Reports link Blues with Borrowdale

The defender spoke to club officials this week demanding to know why the club had bought him in from Coventry if they weren't going to play him.

As a result, Borrowdale is willing to drop down a league and go on-loan with Southend rather than not getting a game at Loftus Road!

However nothing has been confirmed on the official site at the time of writing.

A QPR source said: "You have to feel for the lad. He thought he would be given a chance, and boss Paulo Sousa was thinking about offloading Delaney before he came back into form. But Borrowdale wasn't match fit when he came to Rangers, and either Matt Connolly or Delaney can fit into the left-back spot, so it could be that Gary will be sold at the end of the season without ever playing for the club."

In other transfer news Dan Harding has gone to promotion chasing Reading on loan until the end of the season. Reading's manager Steve Coppell originally signed Dan for Brighton when he was in charge at the Seagulls.

Good move for him and good luck Dan.
