Prince Harry leaves for Wycombe

Poor Matt Harrold, unloved by the majority of the Roots Hall faithfull for most of his two year stay, has dropped a division to find first team football with League Two side Wycombe.

The Prince, 24, has been on the transfer list since the summer and it was good of Spud to take him off our hands for an undisclosed five figure sum.

59 appearances and 6 goals and a sending off against his old club Yeovil will not see him mourned, even less than sometime former strike partner, Gary Hooper.

Always working hard but never fitting in, when he came on and scored from a corner at West Brom I felt Freddie had found a partner that would take a weight off his shoulders. Then again I thought that about Foran as well! (Is he going tonight?)

Sadly, what I will remember is a freezing cold afternoon in Luton when he took the ball and stuck it firmly down on the penalty spot, confidently gestured to the keeper where he was going to place it, and missed. Therefore in a couple of minutes summing up his whole Southend career.

Good luck at Wycombe Matt, where you will find Lewis Hunt to keep you company. Come on Spud take on a couple more and you'll have a side to rival Gillingham in the 'B' team stakes.
