Comminges: Carlisle loan switch

Miguel Comminges: Must update the photo, he's had a haircut

Off he went at half-time Saturday with his new side two-nil down at Roots Hall to league leaders Chesterfield never to reappear.

The utility man discarded by Championship Cardiff City, one Miguel Comminges, was obviously knackered, and a 4 out of 10 score was duly placed next to his name in the S24 report.

Blues boss Paul Sturrock has been honest enough to admit his error, but more than the odd one is slipping into his decision making nowadys and he needs to focus quickly on the problems when his side turn out at home.

It's five defeats now and still 12 games to go, with the next against play-off zoners Bury on Saturday, January 21st.

Luggy told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I made a mistake starting Miguel and I hold my hands up to that. It had been hard to gauge his fitness because he wasn't allowed to play against Chelmsford in the Essex Senior Cup, so we only had training to go on. I decided to put him in but I think it showed he's nowhere near being match fit. It was unfair on him and we are going to have to give him more reserve games to get his fitness up because he hadn't played many games before coming here."

And that will mean a trip to face the Farmers on Wednesday evening, the lucky boy.
