Palace legend Freedman to sign this evening?

The Croydon Advertiser has reported that the 34 year old Crystal Palace forward is as good as on his way to the Hall.

The paper started all this last week when it revealed the veteran striker would meet with Shrimpers officials with a view to thrashing out a permanent move.

They now report that the weekend's talks were successful and Freedman will sign for the Blues tonight barring any last minute hitches. Which could be the higher wage deal he, or more likely his agent, were trying to get out of the club this morning.

Freedman has been told by Palace boss Neil Warnock that he has no future at Selhurst Park and with Leeds pulling out of the running he may not be in the best position to force the deal he wants out of Uncle Ron.

The guy does put the ball in the net though, he would be a great help to Barny.

Let's hope all parties come to an agreement.
