Oh Lord, Barnard misses Bristol

So with Dougie continuing to struggle, be nice to see him involved though, Alex Revell will get his fifth start on the trot at the Memorial Stadium while who would be his partner, Walker would be favourite knowing Tilly, we'll have to wait and see.

Barny was plainly struggling in Lincolnshire so even after a pain killing injection it's no real surprise he's not available for Saturday.

Speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk Lee spoke first about the game at Glanford Park: "I hadn't trained before the game but I wanted to go out there and give it a go. I was feeling it again during the warm-up though and I wasn't 100% fit at all. (Em, with a goal scoring Frenchman on the bench). The hamstring stiffened up at half-time though and in the end there was no way I could carry on so I had to come off."

Results from a scan showed no muscle damage but he did find out about the inflamed bursar, which runners get quite a lot, I'm told!

Lee continued about missing the game against the Gas: "It's very frustrating for me but the injection takes a while to work and that rules me out for Saturday unfortunately. Fingers crossed I'll be OK for the Leeds game the following Tuesday but you just don't know how long it will take to kick in and I've been told it could take as long as a week."

The percentage of games injured compared to games played for the good Lord continues to grow.
