Paul Sturrock: Believing the tide is turning for his Shrimpers side

With loan signings only once the transfer window closes until January on August 31st until the window re-opens in January, the Southend manager Paul Sturrock is going to put his search for a striker on hold, and he'll give his present squad of Shrimpers further time to gel into the promotion-chasing side he believes they are.

Luggy told www.echo-news.co.uk: "We've just won 2-0 at Bradford and also played very well at Wolves in the week so I'm not contemplating anything unless something slaps me in the face."

Give a Scotsman a slap, no chance Luggy, we'll wait and see how this lot do, and the signs are promising.
