Media reports this week suggested that the struggling SPL club Aberdeen's central defender Rory McArdle could be reunited with former boss Paul Sturrock, who he played under at Sheffield Wednesday, when the transfer window opened in January.
However, as far as Brown is concerned, Sturrock's interest in McArdle is old news and has not been resurrected so far.
He said: "It must be a quiet week. A year ago or thereabouts, Paul spoke to me about Rory and I told Rory and I told the media because nothing is sacred. I don't know where it's come from. It's a story that must be at least six months old. I spoke to Rory and asked if he'd had any contact with his agent and he said no. Neither have I. At the moment, we've got to disregard it because there has been no contact."
We thought it was strange at the time that Luggy would go after a defender, so that's that then; or is it?!
