Glenn Morris: 'The shape of the team looked good against Norwich'

Shrimpers shot stopper Glenn Morris saw just one goal go past him in their last five home games of last season, and unsurprisingly the former Borient keeper wants that good defensive record to keep going going into this one.

Morris told www.echo-news.co.uk: “We did well defensively towards the end of last season and we want to keep that going from the start of this season now. We want to push on and have an even better defensive record than before because it goes without saying that would increase our chances of success. We’ve done some defensive work in training and the shape of the team looked good against Norwich so hopefully it can be like that on Saturday too.”

In fact, it's not been a bad pre-season for the team all-round with only four goals going past either him or his reserve young Daniel Bentley in the club's nine pre-season games.

Morris concluded: “Hereford picked up towards the end of last season and will be wanting to start the season with a win, just like we do. I’m sure it will be difficult like all games are at this level but we beat them twice last year and hopefully we can again on Saturday.”

As we hope too Glenn!
