Luke Prosser: off to Irthlingborough, hope he can find it, let alone say it
Let's face it, centre-back Luke Prosser, who joined the Shrimpers at the start of the season after being released by League Two rivals Port Vale, hasn't been one of Blues boss Paul Sturrock's greatest signings.
Think back to that 3-1 home defeat by the lad's former club last August.
I suppose when you bring in 17 players one or two, or six or seven, are going to dodgy, and this can only do young Luke some good.
He turned out 13 times for Southend, but with Mark Phillips returning from injury and Graham Coughlan continuing to perform well in Bilel Mohsni's absence Prosser would have been spending a lot of time warming the bench.
Luke has been drafted straight into former Blues full-back Justin Edinburgh's squad, Justin has just signed a contract extention at the Northamptonshire club, for the Diamonds Conference game against Altrincham on Saturday at Nene Park.
If all goes well, the present loan period of three months could well be more permanent as Luggy looks for a more experienced replacement.
Best of luck Luke.
