Paul Sturrock: a new 'rolling' deal for the veteran Scots manager
Shrimpers CEO Tara Brady has announced that Blues boss Paul Sturrock is in possession of a shiny new contract that's been extended beyond the end of the present campaign.
Brady told
www.echo-news.co.uk:
“We’ve made amendments to Paul’s contract and it no longer ends at the end of the season. It’s a rolling contract so there isn’t really an end date. It’s a deal I would describe as being evergreen and the same as Norwich City have done with Paul Lambert.”
Luggy is in his second season at Roots Hall having turned the fortunes of the club around from that summer of disconsent back in the dark days of July 2010 when he joined, to their present position as the current League Two league leaders.
Brady said:“I think Paul is doing a great job. I think I was lucky to already have him in as the manager when I arrived because otherwise I could’ve spent the first three months of my time here trying to find someone like him. But we have a good working relationship and share similar views on the game. Alongside him, I think Graham Coughlan has also been fantastic for us too maintaining structure and discipline, he is a very hard working, conscientious man and dedicated to football.”
And so say all of us; congratulations Paul, well deserved.
