Hooper still to make decision on future

Scunny manager Nigel Adkins had no hesitation taking his Scunthorpe United squad back to the same pre-season training headquarters near Leicester that they used last summer. However, he will have to do this without Hooper who he was hoping to seal his signature to-day for around 100k.

Hoops though will not be rushed, maybe even hoping at this late hour he can
resurrect his career at Roots Hall. Remaining south of Birmingham could be another reason so if any news comes from further down the M4 we'll pass it on.

Personally, 20 or not, Hoops has had chances at League One level that he has not taken with us and League Two may be his level. Of course, a change of scenery and all that can work wonders so good luck to him whatever path he chooses. The match at Bournemouth, where he showed us glimses of what he can do on his day, could go down as 'his' game for the Blues.
