Freedman Scan Confirms Striker Misses Stockport

Dougie treaked fibres in his thigh towards the end of Southend's 3-0 win over the Borient 12 days ago.

It was hoped that his absense from last weekend's victory against Yeovil would be enough to have him fully fit for the vital game against Stockport. Sadly, today's scan confirming he has a grade one strain, which could mean the 34 year-old is out for a couple of weeks, has proved this will not be the case.

In other news Blues No.1 keeper Steve Mildenhall has resumed light training but with Aussie Adam doing so well Big Steve is not such a loss as the talismanic ex-Palace man.
