After missing the 2-1 win at Yeovil the hope was it would be a one off miss for our Dougie but speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk it seems that he could be out for another game.

"I trained today which was encouraging but I felt a little bit sore afterwards. That is expecting though and at the moment it is hard to say for definite if I will be OK for the weekend. We have the day off Wednesday and then training Thursday so I will see how I am after that."

The good news is that Francis Laurent, stretchered off during the reserve friendly at Norwich, was back in training and Blues boss Steve Tilson confirmed the injury was not serious.

"It didn't look good at the time but Francis is fine now. He trained this morning (Tuesday) and came through it with no problems at all."

Welcome back Francis, let's hope we'll saying the same for Dougie by kick-off time on Saturday.
