Former Chritsian Dailly is continuing to train with the Shrimpers, which must raise the question whether he will join the club once the transfer window opens in January,
Now 38, the veteran Scottish centre-back has made 660 league appearances and would be decent cover for Chris Barker and Mark Phillips with Graham Coughlan's coaching duties taking up more of his time, Mark's recent one match suspension showed the problems that arise in that position when one of them goes missing.
Though the faithful continue to hope a striker will be found in the new year, as Dailly is without a club it wouldn't break the bank to probably get him on board.
We will see.
