Foran Returns to Darlington

Foran, who can play as a central striker or out wide, has recently recovered from a knee injury, the main reason he hasn't gone earlier.

Darlington were always the favourites Foran having scored 3 goals for them in 12 appearances last season.

It's been over a year since he was involved with the first team, having the ignominy of being placed in the youth team during pre-season.

He signed from Motherwell for 150k in January 2007 and looked the business in his first couple of games, his late winner against Burnley will be fondly remembered.

However, he soon fell out of favour on and off the pitch and though we wish him well in his month at the Darlington Arena it would be no surprise if something more permanent is fixed up come January with Dave Penney's side or elsewhere.
