Flood risk for Roots Hall?

Flood; part of a 1-1-8 formation to be tried by Luggy at Northampton

So much for defenders from Scotland, it's looking likely as the player 'in the melting pot' is a striker from Ireland!

We're talking about Anthony Flood from Bohemians who play in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland.

According to his Facebook status it's a done deal, and as my daughter says, once it's on Facebook it's permanent!

He writes:'Everything sorted now happy days of to Southend United over the moon speck to yis all when i see yis'

It seems Flood played as a trialist for the Shrimpers second against the Farmers nine days ago and he impressed Blues boss Paul Sturrock, unlike Ipswich left-back Shane O' Connor it seems, he offered the forward a contract until the end of the season.

He's scored eight times in 33 league games for Bohemians having joined from Örebro SK in Sweden, and overall in his career he's he's grabbed 37 goals in 76 league appearances. (For all his clubs see 'Flood Files' below.)

As the club require international clearance for him to play at Northampton Saturday he is unlikely to be involved in the game.

However, looking forward to seeing his team-mates trying to converse with him if it's all confirmed, as much as I can't wait to see the starting eleven and subs bench against the Cobblers Flood in or not!
