The derby game with the Farmers will now have a 13.00 ko time after the long arm of the Essex law decided that it was in the interest of us all to have two hours less drinking time before the game.
As most pubs open at 11am, if not earlier, at Weatherspoon establishments you can have a Guinness with your bacon and eggs if you want to, (and a worryingly high number of punters do.....I'm told), I'm never too sure about the success of this particular change.
Expect a similar move at the return next year on Saturday, February 21 at the all new, wait for it, Western Homes Community Stadium. That at least gives me seven months to think of a humourous caption.
Pity the poor Farmers though, they will now have to get up at the crack of dawn to make sure they get the transport here on time.
