Hall: Rallies team-mates

Clear off Lions, we're going to offer Ryan Hall more dosh

The Shrimpers will be opening talks soon with the members of the first team squad they believe deserve the reward of an extended or new contract, and possibily hope to keep off interest from clubs that are in a higher league than Southend, at the moment!

Brady told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Myself and Paul will be talking shortly about those players we'd like to make offer new deals to. A number of players have performed well this season and so deserve new deals as a result. Some of those are out of contract and others we want on improved deals also."

Blues boss Paul Sturrock has already confirmed that winger Ryan Leonard is going to be asked to put pen to another piece of paper, and when you look at the form of winger Ryan Hall and centre-back Mark Phillips, offering them nee terms would be a good bit of business indeed.

Contracts (we believe this the state of play amongst the players, apologies if wrong somewhere and the ones we've left off on development contracts; 2012 being the summer.)

2012: Glenn Morris, Peter Gilbert, Teddy Nesbitt, Bilel Mohsni, Chris Barker, Mark Phillips, Bilel Moshni (option for another year), Luke Prosser, Ryan Leonard (soon to be 2013 we believe), Jean-Paul Kalala (option of another year), Anthony Grant, Lee Sawyer (option for another year), Merrick James-Lewis, Harry Crawford, Blair Sturrock (rolling contract), Matt Paterson, Kyle Asante (option of another year), Barry Corr, Liam Dickinson (option of another year), Anto Flood.

2013: Dan Bentley, Sean Clohessy, Graham Coughlan, Kane Ferdinand, Alex Woodyard, Michael Timlin, Ryan Hall, Elliot Benyon, Dave Martin.

2014: Neil Harris

Blimey, that's a lot of negotiating!
