Corr: Back injury
Corr: 'It was pleasing to get that number of goals but next year I want to get even more'

Shrimpers striker Barry Corr grabbed 21 goals last term and the signing of Millwall scoring legend Neil Harris shouldn't do the 6ft 3 inc Irishman any harm!

Corr told www.echo-news.co.uk: “I was so excited when I found out we had signed Neil and I think he’s a quality signing for the club."

And we can't wait to see how it works out, but for now Big Baz just wants to show he's not a one season wonder in front of goal seeing as his previous best was six with Exeter City, now in League One.

Corr continued: “It was pleasing to get that number of goals but next year I want to get even more. My target has always been to improve on the year before and that’s not going to change. Making sure I stay fit is what matters the most because if I get games then I always think I will get goals too. I don’t anything has really changed to be honest. I’ve always had a good games-to-goal ratio and I want that to continue next year so I can have an even better season.”

Best of luck on that ambition, and it's certainly on if he escapes any serious injury, with the Shrimpers faithful hoping for a 35-plus goal return for the new striking duo up front, and if that happens a promotion push will definitely be on!
