ColU on ColU: 'Bloody awful to watch and typical park football'

Centre back Pat Baldwin and striker Scott Vernon have joined from Colchester United on loan until the end of the season and are expected to make their debut against Swindon Saturday afternoon.

This particular suppoerter has strong views that his team's Route 1 football is the reason why both loan signings will fit in at Roots Hall. This with them in a strong play-off position.

Pat Baldwin is certainly a very popular player in north Essex mainly, ironically, scoring for the Farmers in their 3-0 win in Southend during our ill-fated Championship season.

As a Col Utd supporter you have signed Pat Baldwin a quality central defender. However Boothroyd rates him as his number five for this position.

You would have already seen the dancing fairy the clown Heath play for you earlier this season yet Boothroyd has him in the team. Both these players will do well for you as they don't fit into Boothroyds style of play. He only wants dirty hard players that have no skills.

Your unlucky to have no money as a club yet lucky to have a manager that knows how football should be played. All we do now is bang the ball upfield and chase after it. Bloody awful to watch and typical park football. Boothroyd will never match Lambert as a manager.

I hope they both do well for you and show Boothroyd he hasnt a clue regards a good footballer and how to treat them."

One of the ColU two, striker Scott Vernon, added on www.southendunited.co.uk: "I had other offers, but I live in Colchester and Southend were the most local club and I also feel that the style of play here will suit me. I'm happy to get going now and look forward to meeting the new players."
