Let's be honest, Chelsea are not playing at their best. Manchester United's ruthless 3-0 victory over the boys from Stamford Bridge will not send them to South-East Essex in the best of confidence whatever side Big Phil puts out.

Scolari says himself: "You never know what will happen but if we play like we did today for the next three of four games we will not win. But now is the time for me and the players to think about the future. We can lose everything or we can be men and we can improve."

We will see, along with the nation as the game will be live on ITV1 from 8pm, kick-off 10 minutes later. Preston North End v Liverpool on January 3rd reached a high of 5.5 million.

In fact, once online sales and faxes have been taken into account, it could be a sell-out already, but it's more likely there will be tickets on sale to anyone who can get through on the phone once the hotline opens at 9.30am Monday January 12. You can also continue to try by the other methods.

Box Office number: 08444 77 00 77.

As long as you have bought a ticket for at least one Blues game home or away you should still be in with a chance to be part of one of Southend's biggest game in their 103 year history.

For those still hoping to grab a seat for the game, good luck, something Scoari will be hoping has not deserted him.
