Supporters of both clubs involved in tonights Carling Cup first round tie between Southend United and their League one neighbours Leyton Orient have been advised by the official sites that the game is due to go ahead as planned.

 

Shrimpers officials have spoken to the Football League and the Police and the match is not in doubt after three nigts of rioting in London which has now spread to other parts of teh UK.

 

The England v Holland friendly international has been called off along with four Carling Cup opening round ties.

 

Should anything happen to change that supporters will be advised as soon as possible.
