Captain Adam & Macca feel fine for Yeovil, no mention of Dougie

Confidence is high that both Barrett and McCormack will be involved in Saturday's match at Yeovil which could see Blues going into the play-off zone.

Captain Adam had a scan on Monday afternoon which showed he has a grade one sprain, but after being examined by the club doctor he remains convinced he will stepping out onto the Huish Park pitch at the weekend.

Speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk Adam said: "The scan results have come back showing what I thought they would and I can't see there being any more problems now. The doctor was concerned by the swelling on the ankle when he saw it on Friday so he wants to take another look. Personally I think I'll be OK though, especially as I still have a few days to get better".

Meanwhile Macca, scorer of a brace yesterday in the reserves, is still keeping to his 'not ready for 90 minutes in the first team' line and Tilly obviously agrees by keeping Christophe at the club for a further month.

In fact he was questioning if he will be involves at all at Yeovil, something I'm fairly certain will be the case, even though it will be once again from the bench.

"I got through it quite well and didn't struggle at all. I still managed to burst into the box towards the end and I was quite surprised when the referee said there was only two to three minutes to go. My legs weren't feeling heavy, which is a good thing, but I think I showed that I've come back in good shape. There's another reserve game next week so if I'm not involved at Yeovil, and I hope I am, then I can get some more minutes then."

As for top scorer and all round important striker Dangerous Dougie not a sausage, so not only Tilly keeping his fingers crossed there.

Coming soon, the build up for Yeovil begins with a series of articles to start getting in the mood going or not.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!
