Johnson: Arrested outside nightclub

JJ banished from the Hall; club being fair on the player?

The Shrimpers chief executive Tara Brady has set up an investigation regarding the arrest and release on police bail of forward Jemal Johnson regarding an alleged assault outside the Ilford nightclub Faces.

Jemal was put on a fortnight's suspension Wednesday and Uncle Ron's No. 2 will inform the former MK Dons winger if he has a future at Roots Hall after that period comes to an end.

Brady told www.echo-news.co.uk: “We’re trying to get a clear understanding of what happened, so any decisions that need to be made will reflect all the facts and it will be a detailed investigation we go through. We will obviously talk to the police, the player himself and we also want to find out if anyone else was involved. Once we have all the information available then we will then come to a decision and announce a way forward."

No comment on whether he felt the club was being fair in their treatment of JJ with that of Ryan Hall though

Johnson was not involved in either Shrimpers squad for the matches against Bristol Rovers in League Two and Grays Athletic in the Essex Senior Cup.
