Boston United Match To Be Rearranged

Last updated : 04 December 2004 By Mark Wallis

Following the Pilgrims' impressive 3-2 away victory against Hereford United in the Second Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, the Lincolnshire side have found themselves in the Third Round, a date which takes precedence over the League Two clash with the Shrimpers, which had been scheduled for that day.

Many clubs reschedule midweek clashes to increase attendance and revenue with a weekend meeting, but other than the LDV Vans Trophy area semi-final against Swindon Town, Southend only have one such match. That is against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday 22nd February 2005, but with the Salop facing Rushden & Diamonds, thrashed 5-2 by Colchester United today, on January 8th, it seems that United will be fixture-less on yet another Saturday.

We will keep you updated with a new date for the Boston game as and when we have it.
