Blues not rallying around Bilel: 'Some people let every one down but that's life'

Mohsni: Late header

Mohsni; played his last game as a Shrimper?

Two stupid challenges, two yellow cards, maybe the first was tough, the second certainly wasn't, and off you go for an early bath when your team is arguably on top in a cup replay that has a trip to Anfield to face Premiership legends Liverpool as the prize. Team loses.

Not going to make you the pin-up boy at the club is it?

The Daily Mail reported: 'His team-mates were also less than impressed and there were angry exchanges in the tunnel after the game'

(Full article here: www.dailymail.co.uk)

Left-back Peter Gilbert was the first to break ranks when he tweeted: 'I don't really want to talk about the red card but it's fair to say we all feel let down.'

Defender Mark Phillips at first was just, er, very disappointed,

Phillips wrote: "Gutted aint the word right now.....Liverpool away what a chance and now its not happening....so pissed of right now. Got to thank the fans for coming all this way on a Tuesday night getting home at stupid oclock....its much appreciated."

When he woke up the next morning, he was a touch clearer on the subject: 'Still pissed about last night, some people let every one down but that's life'

Quite; but at least he's a happier Shrimper now: 'Yep Only Fools & Horses has cheered me up...the classic leaning on the bar moment has got me crying with laughter...."ur cramping my style"

As for striker Liam Dickinson, he was also clear on the subject, and what to do to make himself fell better!

Liam said: 'Still pissed about last night, some people let every1 down but that's life, ama cheer maself up wiv sum drake tickets. Love how spendin time with ma daughter takes away the stress of football.'

I can understand seeing his daughter would make life seem brighter, but Drake tickets? Sorry, showing my age, seeing Bryan Ferry tonight myself.

Then again, maybe it's best we are not facing the Reds at Anfield in the new year after Liam wrote: 'In Liverpool.... Nooo sign of any desperate scouse wives thank god.... Just people stood outside the dole office in their lacoste tracksuits.'

Oh dear!

Keeper Luke Daniels tweeted: 'Just woke up, needed that sleep. Gutted about last thought we had them first half'

So will he stay or will he go?

Echoman Chris Phillips has recently updated on the situation: 'Tara Brady will hold talks with Paul Sturrock to discuss Bilel Mohsni's future. No decision has been made on Mohsni's future at this stage but I think he will be staying away from the club for a while.'

I'm sure he will; could play Father Christmas at the club party I suppose, a bit thin but the beard would be a decent disguise.

Let's leave it to Bomber Harris to have the last, and spot on words: 'Friday night's game is now our biggest of the season by a mile.'
