Chris Barker; out for a couple of weeks at least
Blues boss Paul Sturrock has updated the faithful about the club's centre-back injury list and the news wasn't great.
Chris Barker out for a couple of weeks making the trip to Shrewsbury possibily his next game, which would be a shame for ex-Shrew Graham Coughlan who would want to start in that one, while it's wait and see for the longer problems of Mark Phillips.
Sturrock told www.southendunited.co.uk: "Chris has a mild strain of his calf and will be out for around a fortnight. We will find out more about Mark Phillips' groin injury today though and that is a bit of a worry for us."
