Blues bad luck: Tilly curses, Di Matteo accepts

Speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk after the game Tilly was disappointed to return to Roots Hall without anything to show for what he felt was a good performance.

He said: "That is as well as we have played away from hom all season. We were the better team in the first half and I can't believe we haven't scored. They took the lead from a corner that wasn't and then scored from a free kick after the break that wasn't a foul. It is all about taking your chances though and we didn't do that today."

Of course, while accepting Tilly has a case, the manager with the three points is always the one that's smiling. Especially when it's your tenth win out of eleven games!

Di Matteo, speaking to the MK Dons official site, said: "We are very happy to have picked up another three points today. It was a very difficult game - Southend played really well and were a bit unlucky because they created a few chances. The early goal always helps, they had to open up a little bit to get back into the game but the team responded well. We defended when we had to and luckily we managed to keep a clean sheet. We couldn't have asked for more than what the players gave us today."

Oh well, a few days to recharge the batteries then Chelsea away. Luckily I hear there having some sort of crisis at Stamford Bridge. Let's put another nail in Big Phil's coffin!

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!
