Mohsni: Future unclear

Mohsni:  'I want us to go on and get promoted this season because that will be very good'

So after all what's been going on behind the scenes our favourite French Tunisian Bilel Mohsni is staying a Shrimper.

And thanks for that Luggy, the thought of him lining up against us with the Creepies in March quite made my stomach churn, though that's probably the turkey sandwiches.

Mohsni told www.echo-news.co.uk: “I am happy to see the gaffer still wants me to play in his team and that he’s behind me, so I will give everything I can for him. I now hope to be playing against Port Vale tomorrow and hopefully we can get a good result.”

Though probably not on many of the squad's Christmas card list with some of his on and off the field behaviour, he remained a firm favourite with the fans, over two thirds in a recent S24 poll wanting him to stay.

Mohsni said: “I would like thank them because they support me. I want us to go on and win the league or get promoted this season because that will be very good.”

In the squad for Saturday's game with Port Vale it will be interesting if Blues boss Paul Sturrock places him in the starting eleven, new signing Dave Martin must be favourite for the injured Ryan Leonard's place, but as an impact sub from the bench on the hour mark, why not?
