Corr: 'I'm getting a bit nervous about reaching 20 goals now'
The Shrimpers 18-goal striker Barry Corr has been the teams saviour with his excellent scoring rate in a season where the injury prone player has still turned out 44 times for the first team, a few sas a substitute.
However, he has only scored twice in the last seven games, and they both came in the match at home against Hereford United that Southend won 4-0 on Friday, March 18th, nearly a full month ago.
Is there a chance that Baz will fail to hit the legendary 20-goal mark, the first since Lee Barnard a couple of seasons a go?
Corr told www.echo-news.co.uk: "Goalscoring-wise my form hasn't been the best lately and I can't put my finger on why. It's been a long season and I have never played this many games before but that's not an excuse because I feel OK. Hopefully things will change when we play Bradford tomorrow and I can get a goal or two because we've only got five games left and I am getting a bit nervous about reaching 20 goals now."
