Barry Corr: 'Macclesfield was one of those nights when everything went in'

The Shrimpers are making a serious assault on the play-off zone, and whatever happens on transfer deadline day, 12-goal top scorer Barry Corr will be vital to the cause.

He's certainly had enough of sitting on the bench and is looking to start on Tuesday evening at Roots Hall where three points against Oxford United would see Southend sitting on the edge of the top seven.

Corr told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I'm really disappointed that I didn't play from the start against Barnet to be honest. I know that we scored four goals against Macclesfield but it was one of those nights when everything we hit just seemed to bobble in and I wanted to come back in to the team. But by scoring I would like to think I have maybe proved a point to the manager."
