Barrett Fit For Yeovil But Freedman Fifty-Fifty; Is Revell Ready?

Captain Adam has been given the nod for the weekend's trip to the west country having recovered from his ankle sprain which he picked up last Friday against the Borient.

Having had most of the week off he trained on Thursday and Assistant boss Paul Brush, speaking to Blues World, confirmed he was fine: "I think a lot of players would have come off after they got injured last week. But you would have had to off dragged Adam Barrett off the pitch against Orient. He has recovered quickly though and is fine."

Not so good news for top scorer Dougie Freedman who, with four goals in four games and a few assists thrown in for good measure, has done so much to turn our season around.

Dougie has a slight thigh strain and may not be risked. Bushy continued: "It is a bit of an iffy situation at the moment. If he plays the injury could made worse so it will be a last minute decision. Leaving him out for one game could be better than perhaps losing him for a month."

And looking at some of those fixtures over October James Walker may well be joining Christophe to remind Yeovil fans of what their missing now or is Alex Revell the man for the day?

Though losing Dougie would unarguably be a blow, Revell, speaking to the Southend Evening Echo belives he's up for it: "I'm not sure whether Dougie will play but if I get a chance then of course I'll be determined to do well. When I dropped out of the team in the first place the manager pulled me to one side and explained that it wasn't because I had been doing badly. It was because Dougie had come in and, fair play, he's been fantastic for us."

Alex went on to explain what a great help Dougie has been to the rest of the team: "Dougie's talking to us all the time in training and I've learnt so much off him already. We all want a career like he's had and he's been good for us because on top of the goals he scores and makes his experience really makes a difference."

Revell insists this has helped his game and attitude improve. "If this has happened a few years ago then I would probably have gone off and sulked, but I've just got my head down this time and worked as hard as I can. I feel like I've done well when I've come off the bench and I scored twice for the reserves in the game I played so I'm feeling good. My confidence is high as well so hopefully that can help me tomorrow if I play."

He even played at Huish Park for Brighton last season and scored: "I got one past Steve Mildenhall that day but of course I never like to bring that up now we are team-mates. It would be nice to get another goal this time too but hopefully we can a better result because we ended up losing 2-1 last time."
