All roads lead to Inverness for Foran

It's been on the cards for a long time but at last it's finally happened.

At least it's freed up some wages, and by all accounts they were fairly high with rumours topping at 3k a week!

If true, and his contract was set to expire at the end of June, that's a few bob, however some sort of pay-off was likely to have been agreed.

Foran moved to Southend in January 2007 in a £150,000 move from Scottish Premier League side Motherwell.

After a bright start where many of us felt Freddie had found a decent partner, and no one in the crowd that night will forget his last minute goal against Burnley which moved us out of the bottom three of the Championship, he fell out of favour for reasons unknown.

Well, unknown outside what can be posted for legal reasons, but it's fair to say it had nothing to do with anything he did on the field of play.

During his two-year stay with the Blues, Foran made 22 appearances and scored 2 goals.

He started the season with games in the youth team with injury restricting even reserve appearances.

The former Carlisle striker again spent two months on loan with Darlington this season.

The belief is it will be announced next week he has become one of Terry Butcher's first signings at Inverness Thistle, Butcher first having signed him on a free transfer while he was manager at Motherwell in 2004.

Nice piece of business Tel!
