Brady: 'I do not see the possibility of groundsharing'

So Shrimpers chief executive Tara Brady joined the United manager Paul Sturrock on the BBC Essex phone-in Wednesday evening and said what we wanted to hear, the proof will be if he can deliver, and only time will tell on that one.

Brady told listeners: "My biggest challenge is the playing budget. We are in the top seven of wage payers in the division and we hope to be in the top seven by the end of the season and we have the players to do it."

As reported last night he confirmed that Sainsbury's have not given any deadline regarding the club leaving Roots Hall but thankfully we shouldn't have to be working out the train times to Leyton any time soon regarding playing home games at Brisbane Road!

Brady said: "I do not see the possibility of groundsharing. There are seven shops we still have to take over with a compulsory purchase order but these things take time. We have contingencies but do not see them being an issue."
Though the Pompey supporting CEO would not tell us how much money he's put in, he did confirm he hadn't taken any out, (I frigging hope so!), his contacts in the City, those popular bankers, other businessmen and the odd venture capitalist, are all on his Blackberry.

Brady concluded: "Those are the sort of people I want to bring in because they bring in money."

As has already been said, we shall see.
