41,000 sell-out for Chelsea cup tie

Last updated : 18 December 2008 By Shrimpers24

There will be no tickets going on general sale today as was originally planned.

Chelsea have also sold out the remainder of Stamford Bridge and a capacity crowd of 41,000 will therefore be in attendance.

Southend supporters are advised not to telephone or call into the Box Office as no tickets will now be available.

However, due to the scale of the tickets that have been sold there is a possibility that there may be a very small number of tickets which are returned as unwanted over the next few days.

If this is the case, these tickets will be allocated to those supporters who have attended one or more games who have applied in writing to the club in the following ways: Via email - to: tickets@southend-united.co.uk with 'Chelsea returns' in the subject field.

In hard copy drop off an envelope with a letter of application enclosed with your contact details (name, address, telephone number for all applicants).

Chelsea returns must be marked on the envelope.

All envelopes will be stamped with the date and time of receipt and will be dealt with in a strict time order.

Envelopes must be dropped off at main reception at Roots Hall or anyone planning to drop the application off on Saturday should use the main Blues ticket office.

Applications will not be accepted outside of normal office hours.

Any returned tickets will be available one per applicant, although one person can apply on the behalf of other supporters.
