The Shrimpers Trust is pleased to announce that the football club have on Friday, August 27th repaid the outstanding Trust loan.
The £60k is back in the Shrimpers Trust bank account.
Ron Martin commented as follows "I look forward to seeing you soon (now next week I believe) and in the meantime wish to thank you and Members of the Trust not only for agreeing the Loan to the Club in the first instance but also your considerable forebearance over the period."
The Trust committee is aware of the considerable depth of feeling about this loan and the issues around several missed deadlines and would hope that this development is further proof that the club is moving in the right direction.
Several members of the Trust committee are meeting with Mr Martin next week to discuss the current situation and future plans.
