Shrimpers faithful believe Harris signing a great bit of business

The faithful speak!

The not unsurprising news that S24 readers believe the signing of Neil 'Bomber' Harris was a nifty bit of transfer footwork by Blues boss Paul Sturrock, but 86%, our largest majority yet, and from a fifty something I'm very pleased by the large showing of anti-ageism by our readership!

Harris: Millwall legend

Neil Harris is a good bit of business for the Blues?

Yes; more please 86.1%

No; three year contract, too old! 13.9%

This followed a previous poll that one was one of our most popular and showed a clear preference for Luggy to go for a central striker, so box ticked there, however, in second place, by a fair margin, was the backing for a right winger.

Obviously wanted as a back up, or more even starting to give the side plenty of width, to work with the exciting Ryan Hall, and replace the departed and not too lamented Louie Soares.

Two wingers, Harris and Corr in the middle, an exciting thought, but couldn't see Luggy going for it, the old Scottish pragnamist will want an extra man covering the middle, so even though a touch more boring, and the defensive midfielder position did not have much support, that looks the next bit of transfer news that's coming out of Roots Hall, possibily as early as Monday. (We're move on from your votes for another left-back into third place you naughty people, Luke has signed for another year like it or not!)

Especially if the speculation that Shrimpers skipper Craig Easton is indeed on his way is proved correct!

Where do you believe the Shrimpers squad needs to be strengthened?
