Little Darryl; back in the game at Portsmouth

Former Shrimpers shot stopper Darryl Flahaven has been looking for a club since Championship Crystal Palace decided not to renew his contract given to him by Neil Warnock, now at QPR.

Well he's found one, and Darryl is back by the seaside with Portsmouth, where he has signed on a month's loan.

His older brother Aaron, who was also a professional keeper, played for Portsmouth before being killed in a car crash in 2001. Darryl has a son named Aaron in memory of his brother.

The diminuative No.1 won the PFA League One player of the year and was named in the League One Team of the Year in 2005-06; he was also named the Southend United Player's Player of the year in 2005-06.

Good luck Darryl.
