Soares; in his glory days as a Shrimper!
Not one of Luggy's greatest signings but he's swimming with the fishes now as Conference promotion hopefuls Grimsby Town, they are presently two points off the play-off pace, have snapped up winger Louie soares from Hayes & Yeading United who themselves lie in the bottom four, so a result for the Barbados international, oh yes he is.
Soares does seem to have found his level scoring 16 goals in 34 games in all competitions for the fifth tier side during the present campaign.
One of Blues boss Paul Sturrock's first decisions when he took over was to place Soares on a pre contract agreement from Aldershot Town, and his registration was comfirmed when the club's transfer embargo was lifted in August 2010.
Soares scored his first goal for the Shrimpers on October of that year in a 3–1 JPT win over Barnet, (Paterson got a brace, Bilel got sent off!), but in May 2011 he was one of five players that were released by the club.
There were league clubs after Louie, apparantly!: www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk
