Former Shrimpers keeper Rhys Evans is returning to League Two rivals Bradford City on trail.

The shot stopper is a free agent after being one of five players released in May by Blues boss Paul Sturrock.

Evans has actually had two previous spells at Valley Parade after first going on loan from Blackpool in 2007 where he only made four appearances before picking up a shoulder injury, then returning a year later to sign a 12-month contract but was released by then Bantams boss Stuart McCall.

Best of luck to Ryan
