Facey: Pens Bulls deal

Delroy Facey: 'The fans have been coming up to me and wishing me well'

Many Lincoln fans believe that if the Bulls new signing Delroy Facey, hadn't got himself injured Tilly's Imps would not be opening their season away to Southport in the Blue Square Conference, he certainly kept Sean Clohessy quiet when he was placed on the right hand side of midfield in City's 2-1 win over the Shrimpers last March.

S24's Hereford United player-to-watch and a Grenada international no less, Delroy believes he's not certain to start with three strikers trying to get Bulls boss Jamie Pitman's attention, however we expect him to play behind central striker Stuart Fleetwood in Saturday's league opener as part of a defensive 4-5-1 formation.

Yoann Arquin looks to be the odd forward out and start on the bench, however for the man of 13 league clubs in 15 years, we might have missed the odd loan out, he's finding life good in the lovely county of Herefordshire.

Facey told www.herefordtimes.com: “I keep myself to myself and, as and when I can, I go and have a little tour around the area to get used to the place, the roads and to find new places. The lads, the management staff and everyone in and around Hereford have made me feel welcome. The fans have been coming up to me and wishing me well.”

As we do, but not that well, at least until after the weekend, for now Delroy's a confident lad.

Facey explained: "On the pitch, I am getting into spaces to get the chances and, hopefully, at the start of the season, I will turn those chances into goals. Hopefully, I can repay eveyone at Hereford United by getting a starting place in the first game, putting the ball in the back of the net and helping the team off to a winning start.”
