Barrett: Set for Bournemouth move

Alan Barrett: Bradbury recreates Southend United 2005/06 part 2

It must be the sea air.

Former Shrimpers skipper and centre-back Alan Barrett has indeed signed for League One south coast club AFC Bournemouth after falling down the pecking order of Championship Crystal Palace managed by another former Shrimper in Dougie Freedman.

Having already signed Southend ex-shot stopper Darryl Flahaven and discussing with his board whether to increase an offer for our former right-back Simon Francis from Charlton Athletic, manged by ex-Shrimpers defender Chrissy Powell, ex-Shrimpers striker and Cherries boss Lee Bradbury is returning to the team mates from previous seasons at Roots Hall. You can catch a certain theme here!

No word from Adam yet but he could become Captain Adam again, but with Bournemouth this time around.

It does feel like I've invaded the workings of a private club, but we certainly had some decent players back then!
